How to get to the Ambulatory Surgery Center
From the West: Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE I 495) Eastbound to exit 62 North, Nicolls Road, (Route 97). Approximately 8 miles down, after crossing over Route 347, at a traffic light you will see a sign on the right for Stony Brook University Medical Center. At that sign and entrance, turn right. Follow the road down to the first light and make a left. You will see a sign on the right, with an arrow pointing to the left for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Follow the road around the left to Patient Parking.
From the East: Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE - I 495) Westbound, to exit 62 North, Nicolls Road (Route 97). Approximately 8 miles down, after crossing over Route 347, at a traffic light you will see a sign on the right for Stony Brook University Medical Center. At that sign and entrance, turn right. Follow the road down to the first light and make a left. You will see a sign on the right, with an arrow pointing to the left for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Follow the road around the left to Patient Parking.
Parking: Easy accessibility for patients and surgeons is a high priority. Parking is plentiful and free of charge. When you arrive at the Ambulatory Surgery Center, pull a ticket from the automated gate. When leaving the Ambulatory Surgery Center have your ticket validated in the building.
As a reminder, if you are having surgery of any kind, we demand that all patients make arrangements for a ride home and be received by a responsible adult upon arrival home. You will not be allowed to drive, walk or take public transportation following sedation or anesthesia. Please make the appropriate arrangements.
